KGPC is an FCC licensed radio station broadcasting on 96.9 FM since 2015. Previously the station was located on the 9th floor of the Laney Tower and operated under the name "9th Floor Radio," for obvious reasons. Since we are a low-power station, we broadcast at 100 watts from East Oakland during the hours 7:00 pm to 6:59 am and around the clock on our website.

We have hosts and DJs from Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda Island as well as Peralta Colleges students and faculty. Currently our programming is majority students and faculty created. Additionally we broadcast the Peralta Board of Trustees meetings, live, on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

Peralta Community Radio exists to serve Oakland and the Peralta Community Colleges with great local programming. We are a resource that allows individuals to get involved in local media production and add their voice to airwaves. If you are interested in producing a show on KGPC, read this page and send us an email!
